Augusta Technical College’s Nursing and Nursing Aide Program has three campuses, and was experiencing heavy faculty turnover at one of their campuses. Faculty members didn’t understand the importance of recordkeeping and had been delinquent in doing so. During preparation for a site visit at this campus, it became evident that they were missing nearly an entire cohort’s information from the course used to measure outcomes from ACEN. They realized they had to act quickly to fix this problem or they would receive “area of development” or “noncompliance” with ACEN’s standard 6.

They needed to find a solution that would enable electronic clinical recordkeeping, and they soon adopted the Trajecsys Centralized Clinical Recordkeeping system. “Luckily, we found Trajecsy during an ACEN booth visit and learned how we could keep these records electronically. THIS WAS SUCH A BLESSING!!!” explains Ebony N. Story, DNP, MSN, RN, Department Head, ADN & PN Nursing /Nurse Aide Program, School of Health Sciences.

Administrators were now able to easily manage all clinical records electronically and keep the program compliant with accreditation. Trajecsys also enabled them to verify that students are attending preceptorships on time and stay the entire time. And programs house all clinical evaluations in Trajecsys. “It’s very convenient and calculates the score to place in our self-study easily,” Story explains. As the Department Head responsible for faculty and students, I cannot tell you how this tool makes my life so much easier.”
